Skipper and engineer on 82 foot ketch LEONORE  cruised, from New Zealand to       Alaska, via Australia, Papua New Guinea,  Solomon Islands, Micronesia, Japan, Kamtchatka and the Russian Far East.

From September 2001 to March 2004

I was in partnership as Project and Developement Manager for the speculative construction and operation of  a 55 foot performance cruising catamaran. sailed across the Atlantic and operated the boat in the Caribbean as a charter venture, she was  sold successfully in May 2004

September 2000 to June 2001

Project management of small motor yacht refit in Wales, England.  Upon completion of project, went cruising to the Shetlands, Norway and the Baltic with friends on small sailing yacht.

From January 1999 to April 2000

 Captain on 90 foot sailing yacht FIREBIRD, transiting the Panama canal twice and cruising Costa Rica.  The boat was sold in May and now cruises the Pacific with owner/captain.

From September 1995 to January 1999

 Captain on private motorsailer the 65 foot "MAKE IT SO", operated the yacht from it's extensive reconstruction in Florida , to New England, the Caribbean, Central America ,Vancouver and the Pacific North West. the boat was cocooned in Vancouver after the owner became short of funds.  It is also during that period that we participated in the cultural expedition from the island of Dominica to the Orinoco delta as support vessel for the carib canoe project

1992 to September 1995,

captain on the 55 foot Ferretti motoryacht BLUE EYES, and during the winter months, helmsman and racing skipper on the famous S&S sloop RUNNING TIDE. 

1989 to 1992

 Seasonal captain on Italian Classic yacht SAUDADE,and active with the logistics company Flytrans, shipping race boats, and race cars, some via antonov 128 Cargo planes. I was mainly involved with the logistics of the "Il Moro Di Venezia" Italian chalenge for the Americas cup in San Diego.  Raced on maxis Kialoa4, Congere, ETC…

1986 to 1988 lived in Australia ,

Captain on famous Yacht STORMVOGEL and raced  and won Sydney to Hobart Race with Maxi yacht CONDOR

1985 to 1986,

 sailed on Maxi yacht CONDOR as professional crew winning Bermuda race. 1983 to 1985 sailed the Caribbean as charter skipper on Yacht BLUESANDS and KRITER.  Also crossed Atlantic from France to Brazil , on 46 foot cruising yacht AVENTURA.

Fall 1985,

 temporary Skipper/engineer on 55 foot motor yacht JOANIE  Cruised from Maine to NEWFOUNDLAND and Back
