In 1996, Jacob Fredericks artist and painter of the Carib native tribe in the Island of Dominica, and the Tortola born artist Aragorn Dick Read had the Idea of retracing the path of the ancient Caribs as they ventured North up the island chain of the Caribbean.
A canoe was build in  Dominica and the Expedition went underway in 1997.
I was fortunate enough to participate in the adventure as captain of one of the support vessels.
A film was edited and published, it was aired regularly on PBS, The Discovery Chanel, and The BBC.
Tape is available from Aragorn studios in Tortola or the BBC.
